This web site was developed to provide a resource that will be of interest and use not only to residents but to anyone who wants to find out more about Gorefield and its activities. Any input is welcomed by using the submission forms on the relevant pages or by selecting the relevant link at the bottom of the page to send requests and ideas.

Gorefield - Fenland Village of the Year 2000 and 2001
Gorefield is a small village of about 850 residents situated 4 miles north west of the port of Wisbech in the Cambridgeshire Fens.

This web site is still in its infancy. We already have village history, information about the village, local businesses and services and a village diary, but there is more to come - when time allows. With help from residents we will be able to build the site into a useful resource with local news from around the village and a useful village diary so everyone will know what's on, when and where and who to contact. So, it's up to you to help build it up.

Pre-School Launches Web Site

Gorefield Pre-School has just launched its own new web site.

The site has information about the Pre-School and contact e-mail and phone numbers.

Gorefield Parish Plan

The Final Report, which has now been adopted by the Parish Council, has now been printed. A copy is available online to download and paper copies are available on request.

Ebuy - Buy and Sell Online

Currently we have 4 Oak Chairs, Mac Illustrator and Photoshop upgrade software, a Pine Wardrobe, an Apple Mac G3, a selection of Paperbacks, a Double Futon and a Packing Trailer for sale - more items needed.

Village History

Can you tell us more about Gorefield - We have received some snippets of information regarding the history of a couple of buildings in the village. We have a page to display this information in the hope that we will receive more contributions.

Broadband Comes to Gorefield!

The Newton exchange (which is also used by Gorefield) was Broadband enabled on 16th February 2005.
